Based on an estimated 2.3 million weddings per year, that is more than 1.5 billion pounds of trash (and that’s just in the U.S.)* Imagine if every wedding made just one sustainable switch - that could save millions of pounds of waste every year.

Fresh Cut Design is proud to introduce Flower Rescue, a new service provided to florists and everyday folks looking to minimize their event waste and do good within their community. Learn more below.

We Redesign Event flowers into small bedside arrangements which are donated to memory care patients, nursing homes, and others in need of floral cheer. any unusable flowers and greenery are then responsibly composted.

Send the date of your event & an itemized list of vessels to be picked up and/or returned via the Flower Rescue request form


Full service

we teardown & return your vases

Let us take the night shift! We remove all flowers and greenery after your event. Any vases are collected, cleaned and returned within 5 business days. Alternatively, We will store your vessels until a convenient pick-up time. Any remaining flowers in good condition are repurposed to spread joy within the community.

U-Drop Option

After your event teardown, drop your gently loved flowers with us. We’ll rehome them to someone in need of floral cheer. Any unusable flowers and foliage are responsibly composted.


FLOWER RESCUE FORM

To submit a request for our Flower Rescue service, please complete the form linked below. Please be sure to select which service you are interested in and include an itemized list of vessels to be collected, the venue ‘s address, teardown time, and contact information for the onsite contact. Pricing is determined by the scale and distance of your teardown needs. We will respond in 3-5 business days to confirm availability.

At this time, Floral Rescues are limited to Emmett, Grand Traverse and the surrounding counties. We hope to expand our offerings in the future!

Flower Request form

After flowers have been rescued, Fresh Cut Design works with community partners to find homes for your flowers after your event. Our mission is to spread joy through flowers by identifying persons in need of floral cheer. Do you know someone or are you a member of a school, non-profit, retirement facility or medical unit that is interested in receiving day-old flowers? Please submit your contact information in the form below and we’ll be in touch! 

Fresh Cut Design cannot guarantee specific delivery dates, types of flowers available and/or colors of flowers. While most floral rescues are a donation, some inquiries may be subject to additional fees for delivery and/or labor. At this time, floral requests are limited to Emmett, Grand Traverse and the surrounding counties.
